Lightest Double Stroller
If you're looking for a light double stroller weight and fold size are key factors to consider. When not in use, pick an infant stroller that is simple to use and small in size. This will make it easier to store in your car trunk and to navigate through airport gates and international roads.
The most lightweight strollers have an easy, light fold and self-standing mechanisms to lessen the burden on parents' bodies. Several also have a wide range of seating configurations and can accommodate infant car seat carriers.
Kolcraft Cloud Plus
Designed for the family traveling. Lightweight, with a simple one-hand compact fold. The front suspension and all-terrain wheel, as well as the multi-position reclining seats, can be used for children up to 50 pounds. Parent and child trays with a large storage basket as well as 3-tier canopy that has a the ability to peek through the window for maximum sun protection.
The Cloud scored one of the lowest marks in our quality tests because it has a flimsy seat made of hard plastic and a design which appears outdated. It's also costly compared to other strollers with lighter weights which is why it's not the best option if you're looking for a budget alternative.
Although it's not the lightest double stroller , it has enough features that are worth considering. Its swiveling wheels make easy for you to navigate it on flat surfaces. It can also jump curbs with ease. The Cloud's low handle is a problem however, as it's at knee height and not adjustable. It's not a comfortable thing to push with your legs hanging in the air like that and it's also not helping that it's not padded.
In our tests and testing, we found the Cloud to be easy to set up and open. It's a little more difficult to close, however. You must slide a slider before you press a large white button for it to collapse. This can be quite a hassle when you're trying to keep your children entertained while doing it.
The Cloud comes with a tiny but spacious storage basket. It can fit the size of a large diaper bag. The basket is narrow and you may have to leave something in there to reach the back. The Cloud includes an adult tray and a child tray, each with two cup holders. However, both are too narrow for larger bottles or cups.

Jeep Destination Ultralight SBS

Jeep Destination Ultralight is a lightweight double stroller with a minimalist design, which is perfect for trips. It weighs just 18 pounds and is lighter than some single strollers. It folds flat to make it easy to carry and store. It also comes with independently reclined seats as well as large SPF 50 sunvisors that have a peekaboo window. The visors can be adjusted to accommodate children of different heights. Plus, it has a one step linked parking brake that is Disney-sized approved.
The swivel wheels on the Jeep are also awesome for maneuvering over bumps and uneven surfaces. This stroller does not accept car seats. Your child must be at minimum six months old and possess an excellent neck control in order to use the front seat. The stroller has an umbrella sun canopy with three panels and each seat comes with its own cupholder and snack tray.
Valco Baby Snap Duo Trend is yet another extremely light side by side stroller. It's a little heavier than the Kolcraft Cloud Plus at 23 lbs, but it's amazingly narrow and slim (26.5 inches wide!) and has a ton of elegant features that make it ideal for travel. It folds easily and very easy to move around. It also fits easily in overhead compartments and the trunks of planes.
Similar to the Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+ Double and Mountain Buggy Nano Duo, the Joovy Kooper X2 is another tri-fold ultralight double stroller. It's pretty comparable to the Jeep Destination Ultralight SBS, however, it does have some key distinctions. It's a bit more expensive, but has a better sun canopy and more maneuverability. It also comes with a handy carry strap and can hold children up to 44 pounds per seat.
Summer 3D Pac for Infants CS+
If you're looking for a stroller that is light in weight but also packed with features, look no further than Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+. It's not only crazy lightweight at just 13 pounds, but it offers plenty of storage space in the form of child and parent cup holders, a sippy-cup for the child pocket and a parent storage pocket and much more. This stroller is also able to fit the car seat of your child and has an easy-to-engage brake that can be used flip-flop. It's designed to evolve with your kids from a baby stroller to a toddler stroller by simply attaching the car seat adapters (sold separately) and is suitable for children aged 6 months old and older.
This stroller has only swivel-wheels and no locking feature, so it may not be the best option for terrain that is steep or rocky. It maneuvers well on pavements, as well as other smooth surfaces, though, so it's still an excellent choice for the majority of families.
This is one of the most compact and lightweight double strollers that comes with full-size features. It folds in one hand and stored in the trunk or garage. It can be used as a stoller for travel and is compatible with no additional adapters with most car seats.
The Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+ is different from most strollers that are lightweight because it has two distinct seats that can each support up to 100 pounds. The seats have individual leg rests as well as 3-panel canopies that include flip-out sunvisors and peekaboo window.
The seats are padded to ensure your baby's comfort and have a 5-point padded safety harness that can be adjusted to three different heights. Each comes with an infant cushion, which is ideal for babies. Parents will appreciate the parent and child cup holders, a cell phone holder, as well as a large storage basket. The stroller can also be outfitted with the Yoyo+ Board, which transforms it into an additional stroller.
Joovy X2 Kooper
The Kooper X2 double stroller is a great choice for parents looking for a lightweight double that can hold two kids. The sling-style seats are comfortable, and they provide the same amount of headroom as other double strollers. This allows kids to sit together. The Kooper X2 is unique in that it comes with a completely reclined seat, which makes it a fantastic choice for nap time. Its recline feature is simple to use, however it's not really flat. For taller children, there may be a leg hanging in reclined mode. It also has a huge canopy that we found to be more effective at blocking out sun than other strollers in our review of the top double strollers.
The stroller is light enough to navigate through door frames, which was a major problem for us with other strollers we tested. It folds quickly and its handlebars sit close to the ground for easy transportation. Its only drawback is its limited storage space. When it is full of stuff for the kids it feels tight.
Joovy is a family-owned business that creates innovative, practical and high-quality baby products. Their line includes innovative bottles in our best baby bottle review, fascinating strollers like the Joovy Zoom X2 Double and a unique rain cover that can be fitted to many popular strollers. In our lab tests we examine a variety of factors in order to determine the user-friendliness of a double stroller. This includes the ease of use to fold and set up, how to adjust the safety harness, and how to open and close the brakes. We also lift and carry the strollers folded as if they were placed into a trunk and how to install and remove a baby car seat if applicable. We also evaluated the durability and strength of each model, as well as whether it has a parent tray that can accommodate both child trays.
The Joovy Kooper X2 earned the highest score for ease of use in our most recent edition of our top double strollers guide, and also one of the top scores in our Strollers test program overall. Its easy-to-use design includes an easy-to-use, tilt-free recline with one hand with a huge canopy that can rotate forward to provide shade, and features a mesh for ventilation you can see through when it's tilted, individual kid trays with built-in cup holders, zip-up parent pockets and a large storage basket.
